Current Opportunities

The primary responsibility of the Graphic Designer is to work with the client and Sales Team to interpret and provide creative graphic design solutions. This position is also responsible for internal company marketing strategy, concepts and output to create leads, brand awareness and thought leadership.

Responsibilities

• Plan and create projects according to client specifications
• Produce design concepts, layouts, options within budgetary constraints
• Contact vendors of outsourced materials required to produce design specifications
• Work with Sales team and clients to make design revisions and advance the Sales process
• Arrange and conduct Design briefing with President and Sales Consultants, outlining marketing thoughts behind design
• Keep current of trends in design and marketing strategies
• Present design concepts to existing and prospective clients. Attend client meetings with enthusiasm and genuine interest
• Include and spec out buy out items for custom designs
• Provide creative direction to Junior Designers as required
• Support internal marketing and design efforts
• Review Design requirements thoroughly prior to beginning new projects
• Communicate with Sales and Account Managers on any discrepancies between client needs and regulations outlined in Show Manual

Skills & Experience

Education – Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university or four (4) to ten (10) years related experience.
Language Ability – Able to read and interpret documents such as operating instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization.
Reasoning Ability – Able to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
English Language – Basic knowledge of the English language. Able to comprehend complex instructions in English.
Math Ability – Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages and volume.
• Ability to meet specific deadlines.

Computer Skills

• Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite.
• Knowledge of general office equipment (computer, printer, fax, copy machine.)
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office products.

Physical Abilities

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear, sit and use hands to grasp, manipulate or feel objects. The employee is frequently required to walk or stand, and occasionally required to stoop, kneel crouch or crawl.

The primary responsibility of the Project Coordinator is to provide support and project assistance to Nimlok Chicago’s clients. Nimlok Chicago’s Project Coordinator works with Production to ensure a smooth project flow, and acts as liaison between Production and Sales/Client.

Responsibilities

• Maintain close, intimate relationship with the clients during the life of each project.
• Create job folders, including confirmed order, signed contract, deposit information, and project information provided by Estimator.
• Attend Put To Work Meetings (PTWM) for each applicable project.
• Send project timelines to clients with dates agreed upon during the PTWM, and obtain pertinent information from client/PC by each due date.
• Ensure that client deposits are received.
• Complete and submit show service forms and purchase ancillary, buyout items per project as needed.
• Order and work with Graphic Designer per project as needed.
• Coordinate any client product or literature to be shipped with the exhibit.
• Coordinate and attend client previews, and notify Reception when a hospitality cart is required.
• Take pictures of completed exhibits prior to tear down and shipping to show. Put pictures on the server in the applicable Client Folder.
• Provide project recap to Client and I&D team (or Nimlok Chicago supervisor, when necessary), including tracking information, show service copies, and graphics layout.
• Alert Client, Sales, and Production when notified by Shipping that freight or components have returned damaged. When necessary, send Client pictures and a quote for repair/replacement.
• Coordinate and attend post-show meetings or conference calls with Client and/or Sales.
• Prepare standardized sales presentations and samples for Sales to improve probability of closing opportunities.
• As needed, provide customer support once a project has been completed.

Skills & Experience

Education– High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
Language Ability – Able to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Reasoning Ability – Able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
English Language – Basic knowledge of the English language. Able to comprehend complex instructions in English.
Math Ability – Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10s and 100s. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
• Ability to function in a high pressure and demanding environment with shifting priorities.
• Ability to work as both part of a team and independently.
• Ability to multi-task in a faced-paced working environment.
• Ability to meet specific deadlines.
