Modular Exhibits Engineered for Every Show You Work
Own one footprint. Show up in a dozen configurations. Our modular systems reconfigure from 10x10 to 30x30, pack into road cases a forklift can handle, and keep your brand consistent booth after booth, city after city.

The Modular Advantage
Six reasons Nimlok Chicago clients choose modular, from the inventors of the industry's first modular panel system.
Endless Configurations
Same hardware kit, dozens of possible footprints. Your modular booth can flex from a 10′×10′ inline to a 20′×40′ island and back, without any part of the structure going unused. Design for the show you have, then reshape for the show you didn't plan for.
Panel System Pioneers
Nimlok invented the industry's first modular panel system back in 1970. More than 50 years of refinement later, our aluminum frame and panel engineering still sets the standard for lightweight, customizable, reconfigurable exhibiting. Every booth we build benefits from five decades of hard-earned improvements.
Tension-Fit SEG Graphics
Dye-sublimated fabric graphics with silicone edge (SEG) attachments give you a taut, wrinkle-free, fully custom look. No seams. No panel gaps. No visible hardware. Attendees walk the floor and see a polished, branded environment, not a kit of parts.
Effortless Rebranding
New campaign, new product line, new season. Swap out the graphics, keep the structure. Your investment in modular hardware stays productive for years while your messaging stays current across every show on your calendar.
Rapid Lead Times
Because modular hardware is already engineered and stocked, your timeline shifts to design, graphics, and fabrication only. That means faster turnarounds than a ground-up custom build and real flexibility when a show date moves up or a last-minute opportunity lands on your calendar.
Simplified Setup
Our aluminum frames connect through an intuitive channel system designed for speed and simplicity. Your I&D team can assemble the full structure with minimal hardware, spending less time on setup and more time fine-tuning the details. Faster builds, quicker teardowns, fewer labor hours billed, all without sacrificing a rock-solid structure.
Success Story
Chester's Chicken
Two brands, one island, zero tolerance for a heavy booth.
Chester's Chicken had just completed a full brand refresh and needed a 30′ × 30′ island that could represent both the Chester's Chicken and BirdShack brands in one cohesive footprint. The booth had to feel modern and tall enough to command attention, include a fully functioning kitchen and food sampling area, flex in size and branding across different shows, and ship noticeably lighter than their previous heavy, expensive-to-ship exhibit.
Modular aluminum and fabric, engineered for a working kitchen.
We started with the kitchen, dedicating a generous 24.5′ × 14.5′ zone to fit all the equipment and two sampling counters, then wove the two brand identities across the rest of the island using different flooring treatments to clearly designate each space. A dramatic 17.5′ tower and multiple hanging signs gave the booth vertical presence across the show floor, while aluminum-and-fabric structures with blunt, modern corners kept the look current. Backlit graphics, animated displays, and unique acrylic panels added dimension across the entire footprint.
One modular footprint, two brand experiences, ready for every show.
The finished 30′ × 30′ gave Chester's Chicken and BirdShack a clear, dual-brand presence at NACS with enough height to cut through a crowded show floor. Because the booth was engineered around modular aluminum and fabric, Chester's now ships a lighter, cheaper, faster-to-install exhibit than their previous build, and can reconfigure footprint and branding from show to show as each brand's story evolves. One investment, two brands, a modern look that travels.
Modular FAQs
Everything you want to know about modular exhibits, from the team that invented the category 50+ years ago.
A modular exhibit is built on a pre-engineered aluminum frame and panel system that can be reconfigured show to show. Custom exhibits are one-off builds, designed and fabricated from scratch for a single program. Modular gives you the look and feel of custom at a lower cost, plus the flexibility to reshape the same hardware into different footprints as your show schedule evolves.
Yes, that is exactly what our channel and panel system is designed to do. We plan your modular hardware so it can compress into a 10′×10′ or 10′×20′ footprint for smaller regional shows and expand into a 20′×20′, 20′×40′, or larger island for your flagship events. One investment, many footprints.
Modular is one of the fastest systems to install. A typical 20′×20′ modular booth sets up in a half day to a full day, with dismantle running even quicker. Larger islands with meeting rooms, hanging signs, and AV take longer. Either way, tool-less connections and clearly labeled components keep labor hours, and labor bills, well under what a custom build would require.
Absolutely. Our SEG (silicone edge graphic) fabric panels zip in and out of the aluminum frames in minutes. Launching a new product? Running a seasonal campaign? Targeting a different vertical at the next show? Print new fabric, swap it in, and the booth instantly looks new. The hardware stays the same, the message stays current.
Our aluminum frames are built to last. With proper handling, a modular system comfortably delivers 10 or more years of active show life. Hardware can be upgraded, graphics can be refreshed, and individual components can be replaced without touching the rest of the booth. It ages gracefully instead of going obsolete.
In most cases, yes. The hardware itself costs less than custom fabrication. You also save on shipping, drayage, labor, and storage because modular is lighter and more compact. Over a 3 to 5 year program with multiple shows, clients routinely see significant savings compared to custom, while still getting a fully branded, visually impressive booth.
Yes, the modular system is designed to host it. We integrate LED video walls, interactive touchscreens, backlit graphics, hanging signs, product demo stations, and custom lighting directly into the framework. Your booth stays modular and flexible, even with custom AV built in.
Easy. Reach out through our contact form and we will pair you with an account executive and designer to talk through your show schedule, brand, budget, and goals. From there we share initial concepts, renderings, and a transparent estimate. You walk through the booth in our warehouse before it ships, so there are no surprises on show day.
